the point of combat training is so that you can have the online multiplayer experience offline, so yes obviously you play it offline against bots lol

Yeah, you can play offline. Also, the single player campaign is epic. Not to spoil anything, but JOHN F KENNEDY shows up as a npc. But seriously you need to get live. That is the point of CoD after all.
